Alicante renewed Erdogan for 2 more seasons

Alicante decided to keep Erdogan and why shouldn't they..


Alicante announced today via their official website the renewal of the contract of Serkan Erdogan(1.90-SG/PG) for 2 more seasons. The Turkish sharpshooter will be staying for 2 more seasons in Alicante and the team's president Miguel Cano was thrilled : "Today is an important day because a player of the level of Serkan Erdogan has decided to stay with us and he is a player that can become the step forward for our team. The shareholders an I have guaranteed the financial viability of the team in the ACB and we hope the Erdogan's presence will inspire other players to push the team ever forward."

Erdogan started the season in Turk Telekom but in March he moved to Alicante where he played 6 averaging 10.7 points 2.2 rebounds and 2 assists in the ACB. He has also played for Tofas Bursa, Ulker and in Spain he played for 2 seasons(2005-2007) for Baskonia before moving to Efes Pilsen. He's also been a long standing member of the Turkish National Team.
